A recording studio is a specialized facility for recording, production, and mixing. This can be for spoken words, vocals, instrumentals, or any other form of recording. Professional recording studios are often large buildings with spaces for multiple bands, musicians, and even a full orchestra.

  • How exactly does recording work?

    The artist speaks into the microphone and the sound is converted into electricity that runs down the cable and back into the headphones. The computer or tape machine records the sound coming out of the microphone and the artist listens to it through the headphones. After the sound is recorded we listen back and evaluate the recording for quality.

  • How did you build your recording studio?

    A recording studio is not just the equipment and all the wiring, it’s the design and acoustics too. Most recording studios have some sort of acoustic treatment, with different materials to either absorb or reflect the sound. When soft absorbing materials are used it’s called absorption; when reflective hard surfaces are incorporated, it’s called diffusion.

    If you use a professional studio to record your songs the results will be better with an experienced engineer who knows what they’re doing. While recording at home or at an educational institution can be a great way to get your feet wet, you are going to want someone who does this for a living, with and experienced ear and professional equipment at your disposal.

  • Do you shoot or edit pictures and videos?

    Yes, we do offer in-house photos and videos during your session for an extra price. This depends on the session length and the amount of content you’re looking to capture. We can arrange to shoot and edit music videos as well, but that’s an in-depth process. We are artists ourselves, so we understand what makes a good piece of promotional content for an artist’s social media.

  • How can I start my own studio?

    The startup process for building a home studio is actually quite simple. All you need is a laptop, an audio interface, a pair of studio headphones, a mic with a pop filter, a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), and some cables to connect everything.

  • Do you have any beats for artists to purchase or use?

    Yes, we have beats stored up in our virtual vault that can be previewed during a session and may be purchased for use during that session. We also offer custom production sessions with our engineers and all affiliated producers. We currently have six affiliated producers, and all of them specialize in unique sub-genres of Hip-Hop and RnB.

  • How much does studio time cost?

    This depends on the studio you choose and sometimes even the engineer that you work with.
